OmniClass™ 2.0 Mobile-Enabled/Ready Mini-Mullion Reader

The OmniClass™ 2.0 mobile-enabled mini-mullion readers are designed to deliver high reliability, consistent reading performance, and simple installation for modern access control systems. These readers support advanced smart card technology, allowing multiple applications to be stored on a single physical card, and also offering optional mobile credential support for smartphone-based access. They are fully capable of retrofitting existing Wiegand systems, including standard HID® and Honeywell proximity readers, making upgrades smooth and cost-effective without replacing the entire infrastructure.

OmniClass 2.0 readers are flexible and can use proximity, smart card, and mobile credentials at the same time. This lets organizations slowly move from older 125 kHz systems like EM4102, HID Prox, and AWID to safer smart card technologies like MIFARE DESFire® EV1 and iCLASS SE. With encrypted communication, Secure Identity Object™ (SIO), and Seos™ technology, they provide strong protection for access control, logical PC access, biometric template storage, parking systems, secure ID cards, and other sensitive applications.

The system also supports HID Mobile Access™ with optional Bluetooth® capability, allowing users to securely access doors using compatible smartphones. Devices are available in mobile-ready or fully mobile-enabled configurations, giving businesses the flexibility to activate mobile credentials when required. Configuration can be managed easily in the field using programming cards or mobile applications, making deployment and maintenance straightforward.
